Zambia boasts some of Africa's least disturbed and commercialised wildlife areas. The country is blessed with many rivers, lakes and swamp areas making it a haven for a large diversity of wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

A safari in Zambia offers one of Africa's greatest wildlife experiences. The majestic Victoria Falls and Livingstone, South Luangwa National Park and Kafue National Park to name but a few, are synonymous with breathtaking scenery, prolific wildlife and friendly faces. Altogether there are 19 National Parks in the country.

Livingstone, the former capital of North Western and North Eastern Rhodesia, got its name as a result of its association with famous explorer Dr David Livingstone, who explored much of the surrounding area and was the first white man to see the Victoria Falls.

Well, those who will be visiting Botswana's Okavango Delta in the next few months are in for a treat! Every year this magnificent wonderland gets inundated by flood waters originating from the highlands of Angola. The waters arrive at the top or "panhandle" of the Delta in about January and get to the "end" of the Delta in June or so.
