The region boasts some of the finest collections of San rock art in Africa and amazing rock formations and is also one of the most scenic places in Namibia.

The Himba people with ancient roots, the desert-adapted Elephants, Black Rhino, the Ugab terrace, the Vingerklip (finger stone), the Brandberg (burnt mountain) are all part of what make Damaraland a spectacular area that almost warrants treatment as a complete destination on its own.
