Zambia is landlocked, and bordered by eight countries namely; Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. The land area is some 752,000 sq km. Zambia is fortunate in not having a shortage of rivers. The southern border is the mighty Zambezi river. There are several large rivers, lakes and swamps throughout the country. Capital city is Lusaka.
